Dear AHS Orchestra Students and Parents,
I hope you are having a wonderful summer and are recharged and ready for our upcoming school year. My summer has been relaxing and I was able to get in some camping, family visits, and even a few rounds of wakeboarding!
I’m very excited to begin the upcoming school year. We have a lot of great things planned and I know it will be a fun year.
I wanted to make you aware of a change in our upcoming schedule. Each year the AHS Orchestra hosts a mini-camp that runs two evening before school begins. This summer the AHS Fine Arts building has been under construction and I was forced to turn in my keys and will not be allowed back in the building until Tuesday, August 1. This makes it nearly impossible to plan for a mini-camp that was to begin on August 2. So, this year I have made the decision to cancel the mini-camp.
Instead, we will hold a “Bach to School” Orchestra Social on Friday, August 11 from 6-9 PM in the Fine Arts Building. We will use this time to bond a bit and have some fun! The student leadership team will be making plans and you won’t want to miss it. Please mark your calendars and we will discuss details when we start the school year.
